The widest part of the cover is 47 inches across and when fully extended is 20 inches to the plastic pieces (picture 2). The flap that would go to the end of the car is 7.5 inches at the longest place. Then the flaps on the other side of the metal cross bar are about 10 inches in total and fold in half.
