For sale, a 2003 e39 BMW M5 with 105k miles. No accidents, no paintwork, no rust.
I am the third owner and purchased this M5 in the Spring of 2021. Garaged, Florida car until 2022. First owner lived in Palm Beach and the second owner lived in Bokeelia.
Jet Black II on Full Leather Nappa Heritage Black. One of the last e39 M5s to roll off the assembly line. I’ve owned about 15 older (e28, e34, e39, e60) M5s and this one will not disappoint.
Exterior – 9.75 out of 10. One 2 inch scratch on the rear bumper and a hairline crack in the rear bumper that occurred during shipping. Both are repairable without replacing the bumper.
Interior 9 out of 10. The full leather dash has some issues that can be remedied (airbag cover has shrunk slightly as seen in the photos and some dash stitching is in need of a professional).
Mechanically – close to 10. I have a PPI from BMW of Fort Myers that was completed prior to my purchase and all needed items have been completed (willing to redact the second owner’s name and provide) as well as additional preventative maintenance. The BMW of Fort Myer’s PPI was performed less than 1000 miles ago. I anticipated using this M5 as a daily driver, maintained/upgraded it as such, and have instead been driving an e39 540i much more than expected.
Daily Driver „upgrades:“
1. Avin Avant 4 head unit with backup camera. Have the working MKIV and all parts.
2. Installed an e60 550i shifter and all bushings replaced.
Maintenance/Repairs in the last year/1000 miles:
1. DSC Unit Replacement and recode;
2. DSP Amp Replacement;
3. Headlight restoration (new bulbs all around, including most recently, the license plate bulb);
4. Left and Right fender liners;
5. Front windshield gasket;
6. Cowl;
7. New fileters (cabin, air, and oil)
8. Oil changed 300 miles ago;
9. Two of three power steering hoses;
10. Auxillary fan; and
11. Flywheel, clutch, rear main seal, and flex disc were done 300 miles ago.
Receipts and documentation for all repairs. Clutch is still in the break-in period, happy to take anyone interested for a drive or drop the car off for a PPI.
Price is firm for an excellent e39 M5.
