Up for sale is my 2007 Toyota Tundra CrewMAX SR5 with 170k miles. It is a second vehicle and over the last few years its seen less usage so its time to sell it and upgrade when I am ready for another truck! As of late the most it sees is occasional trips to the dump with yard waste and tree branches with a few trips to Lowes for mulch, but nothing that requires a truck.
The Excellent:
Mechanically sound and runs like a top with the big 5.7L V8. Engine oil changed religiously every 3000 miles. AC blows cold, Heat blows hot. Transmission and transfer case still shift smoothly with no issues going into and out of 4X4 (both High and Low). Aftermarket Kenwood head unit with Bluetooth streaming. Power windows with power full roll down rear window as well.
The Good :
Interior condition is in great shape. Weathertech floor mats making cleaning a breeze. The center armrest latch is broken so sometimes needs a little weight on it to stop it from opening if bouncing but it’s a fairly cheap part if you want to replace it.
Headlights are HID drop-ins but are a little hazy on the lenses, nothing a little elbow grease couldn’t take care of.
The Fair:
Mechanically: Tires still have decent tread left but are starting to show their age and could probably be replaced in about a year or so if it becomes a daily driver. The front tire has a pinhole leak and takes air about once a week to top off and one of the sensors is low on battery so the TPMS light is on, but that can be addressed whenever new tires are put on.
Cosmetically: Left rear door has a scratch and minor dent, but may buff out if you care how it looks, but it never bothered me. The bed is linex-ed but is starting to show some age in spots.
VA state inspection and Emissions test are due, but should have no problem passing. If you are a Virginia buyer I would have no issue making the sale contingent on passing both, but don’t want to spend unnecessary money on tests if the buyer ends up being out of state and not needing them.
Taking everything above into consideration I have it listed for $12,500 OBO which is between KBB’s fair and good condition. I am open to negotiation but am a little on the firmer side since I am not in a rush to sell it and would expect somewhere close to that as a trade-in to a dealership. Low ballers won’t be responded to. Cash or cashiers check (verified from your bank) are acceptable, title is clean and in hand.
