This sale is for a 1985 Yellowstone RV. Have owned the RV for about 4 years. Have used it lightly for camping (only once this summer) and the longest trip has been two hours out to a campground in the mountains of Western Pennsylvania. For a small investment, this is ready for a person to take the project to the level. With a 35 year old vehicle, always plenty of things to do.
Mileage: 74,810
Mechanical: Had repair work done, including full brake replacements, and RV passed Maryland inspection and emission inspection in 2016/2017, which is an accomplishment. Engine and transmission are solid, will do 70 MPH on the interstate with no problem.
Tires: Same rubber as when I purchased. Plenty of tread, no problems.
Body: Van front needs some body work due to rust. RV body needs general TLC for caulking, has leak in rear window during heavy rain, roof is solid, no leaks there (I have walked the roof a couple of times).
Interior: Non-smoking but we do have dogs. Removed carpeting in main living space and replaced with vinyl planks. Newer carpeting in the driver/cab area. Some cabinets replaced and new sinks/toilet installed. Did not touch the shower area, used for storage. Most ceiling lights replaced with LED units.
Refrigerator: Replaced original with AC only (not a multi-power source unit)
AC: Works well in most situations, does struggle to keep the camper cool in the 90’s.
Electrical: Replaced battery and converter. Both AC and DC works great.
Propane: We disconnected and used no propane powered components such as furnace or water heater (used electric heater in colder weather). Propane stove removed and a toaster oven installed in kitchen. Microwave works great.
Generator: Not been used in the last four years (again, not used any of the propane powered systems).
Awning: Replaced materials, works great but old style mount so it requires two people to open.
