I’m selling my Hunter 34. The boat is on the hard in Deale Maryland. I have been working on it the last few months with the intent of getting it back in the water this summer but I have run out of time.
The good:
I am just putting the cooling system back together, just waiting on some hose connectors to arrive and the engine should be good. I have a lot of the non weight bearing bulkeads around the engine removed right now so I could easily get to the heat exchanger.
I also have cleaned the fuel tank and installed an inspection port to make servicing it easier in the future.
Roller Furler works and sails are serviceable
I haven’t noticed any leaks coming through.
Newer hot water heater
New Victron battery monitor (still in box)
Just had the sail bag and bimini boot repaired (new zippers/ patches)
The bad:
I don’t have any other pictures right now. I will take more when I go out in the next week or so
I pulled out part of the sole and just have temporary plywood cutouts. I was going to resurface with laminate or teak/holly
I also pulled out the shelving on the port side with the intent of modifying it.
The previous owner pulled out the head and replaced it with a composting head…tank and all.
Chartplotter doesn’t work
Some soft spots on the deck.
Needs a good cleaning.
Cushions are old and ugly
Bottom line is I was in the middle of a pretty big project and I just don’t have the time to finish now with my current situation. When I pulled it last summer I was using it fairly regularly so everything should still run…but I honestly don’t know yet. If I don’t sell it I will put it back in the water and get things finished over the next year (it’s not a years worth of work…I just only get out there once a month or so) or so…then I will either sell it for more or keep it for the summer and bring it over to the Potomac.
