Hi, we’re selling a stable 12 foot sit on top fishing kayak labeled Pompano 120 from West Marine which really is a Perception Pescador 12.0 Angler kayak (Perception licensed the Pescador 12.0 Angler kayak to West Marine under the Pompano 120 name). This is a well known and well reviewed kayak for anglers, nature watchers, as well as recreational beginning kayakers. For those familiar with fishing kayaks, this was the previous version of the Wilderness System Tarpon 120 kayak.
The kayak has many upgrades including an anchor trolley system, tie off cleat, side utility pouch, paddle holder, built in seatback, sealed storage hatches in the front, middle, and rear, fishing rod holders, adjustable foot braces, etc. My son removed the stock thin bottom seat and used a thicker foam bottom seat which will come with the kayak. You can have the stock bottom seat as well if you like.
This kayak is well known to be a very balanced, stable to fight a fish on the line yet nimble and quick on the water. It is in very good shape, 100% functional, and with no issues. This kayak belonged to my son and is being sold now due to him being overseas for the next few years.
If needed, free local delivery is available to the Reston / Herndon area or for a nominal fee if outside the area.
For serious buyers, I’m open to trying out the kayak at a local Reston lake before finalizing the sale.
If needed, I can add a brand new 230cm kayak paddle for a few dollars more. I also have a clip on style kayak seat as an available upgrade that fits this kayak, if interested.
